geniaBeads® CN - hydrogel beads from chitosan
Chitosan is a polymer which is produced from chitin - a biopolymer mainly extracted shrimp residues. Hydrogels from
chitosan are prepared by curing based on a pH shift.
geniaLab® works with different chitosan types differing in their molecular size and viscosity. We store a
variety of chitosans from different.
The hydrogel beads' size can be chosen from a wide range. Due to the special curing mechanism the chitosan system
offers the possibilty of very high pay-loads for the entrapment of powders, active ingredients, or other solid
substances.

Chitosan beads with encapsulated insolubles
Beads incorporating high loadings of organic or
inorganic powders, e.g. mineral powders, metal oxids, or amino acids. |
|
Pigmented chitosan beads
Hydrogel beads with pigments and colors for adding a special eye-appeal to your product.
We offer a variety of pigments, including pearlescent pigments, fluorescent pigments,
metallic pigments or interference pigments. |
Chitosan beads with encapsulated insolubles
With the chitosan system we can prepare beads that are higly loaded with
insoluble material, i.e. offer a high pay-load. The beads might be used in wet of dried
state.
